Plumbing Fittings & Supports — Secure Solutions for Stable Piping
Welcome to the plumbing fittings and support systems hub at THS Now. When designing or installing a fluid management network, many people focus entirely on the pipes and valves themselves. However, a piping system is only as reliable as the bracing infrastructure holding it in place. Water is incredibly heavy—weighing 1 kg per liter—and as it rushes through a building, it generates massive structural loads, dynamic fluid pressure, and constant thermal expansion. Without professional-grade anchoring, hanging, and clamping hardware, lines sag, joints leak, and noisy vibrations can echo through walls. THS Now provides a strictly engineered inventory of industrial-grade pipe clamps, adjustable hangers, and specialized brackets designed to keep your fluid lines perfectly aligned, stable, and secure for decades.
The Importance of Proper Pipe Support
Neglecting the mechanical anchoring of your pipelines is a surefire way to trigger early joint failure. Proper support installations counteract physical forces that would otherwise compromise your infrastructure.
Preventing pipe sagging and stress
When a long horizontal run of pipe lacks sufficient support, the sheer dead weight of the fluid causes the line to bow or sag. This sagging creates low points where water pools, leading to sediment accumulation, increased flow resistance, and severe downward stress on connecting joints and elbows. Over time, this constant mechanical strain weakens threaded or glued connections, resulting in catastrophic hidden leaks behind walls or across ceilings.
Reducing noise and vibration in water lines
Have you ever heard a loud banging or rattling noise when a tap is turned off? This is known as water hammer—a shockwave created when moving fluid is forced to stop suddenly. These rapid pressure spikes cause pipes to violently whip and vibrate. High-quality support brackets anchor the lines rigidly to the building structure, absorbing structural shock waves and preventing acoustic rattling from travelling throughout residential and commercial properties.
Corrosion-resistant materials for damp areas
Plumbing lines are frequently installed in high-humidity environments, including basement bashes, underground service shafts, and external facades. If your mounting hardware is made from cheap, untreated metals, it will oxidize rapidly, lose its structural integrity, and snap under pressure. THS Now addresses this by stocking clamps built from hot-dip galvanized steel, premium stainless steel, and heavy-duty thermoplastics that easily resist atmospheric moisture and chemical corrosion.
Types of Fittings & Supports
To help Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) contractors execute precise, code-compliant layouts, our catalog features a wide array of support structural profiles.
Pipe Clamps & U-Bolts
The baseline standard for rigid structural anchoring. Our U-bolts and heavy-duty split clamps enclose the outer diameter of your pipe entirely, locking it firmly against steel unistrut channels or structural concrete columns. They provide massive load-bearing capacities, making them essential for vertical riser pipes and heavy main distribution manifolds.
Adjustable Pipe Hangers
Ideal for suspending drainage and supply lines from overhead concrete ceilings. These include clevis hangers and swivel loop designs that allow installers to adjust the elevation or slope of the pipe effortlessly during installation, ensuring that wastewater maintains the precise gravity slope required for efficient drainage.
Wall Brackets & Saddles
Perfect for running pipelines cleanly along horizontal walls or floor surfaces. Cantilever arms and heavy saddle clamps elevate the piping network slightly off the raw surface, allowing room for proper thermal movement, pipe insulation wrapping, and straightforward visual maintenance checks.
Rubber-Lined Supports for Vibration Damping
For absolute acoustic peace and mechanical protection, rubber-lined split rings are the industry benchmark.
The integrated EPDM rubber lining completely isolates the metal pipe from the metal clamp frame. This design cushions the pipe against minor operational movements, absorbs sound transmission, and prevents galvanic corrosion when anchoring copper lines with steel fasteners.
Shop Industrial Grade Pipe Supports & Fittings Online
Procuring miscellaneous clamps and brackets from traditional local markets often leaves contractors dealing with inconsistent steel gauges, brittle bolts, and inaccurate diameter sizes. THS Now eliminates site installation errors by providing a mathematically precise digital inventory. Every support system listed features accurate nominal pipe size (NPS) listings, meaning a 2-inch clamp fits a 2-inch pipe perfectly without loose play or overtightening. Whether you are laying out complex industrial chilled water lines or installing simple domestic drainage networks, you can source your entire Bill of Materials (BOM) online from THS Now at highly competitive trade-tier pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the ideal distance between pipe supports?
The spacing between pipe supports depends heavily on the pipe material and the diameter of the line. Because plastic lines like PVC, CPVC, and UPVC are highly flexible, they require closer support intervals—typically every 3 to 4 feet (0.9 to 1.2 meters) for horizontal runs to prevent sagging. Rigid metal lines like galvanized iron (GI) or stainless steel can safely span larger distances, generally requiring supports every 6 to 8 feet (1.8 to 2.4 meters). Always check local plumbing codes and material datasheets for precise structural layouts.
Are these clamps suitable for both metal and PVC pipes?
Yes, but you must select the correct style. Standard raw metal clamps are perfectly suited for iron or steel lines. However, when mounting plastic PVC or copper lines, you should always use rubber-lined clamps. Raw steel edges can score and scratch soft plastic pipes during thermal expansion, creating microscopic stress concentrations that cause premature pipe bursts. The rubber lining provides a safe, smooth, and forgiving contact area.
Do you offer heavy-duty supports for industrial plumbing?
Yes, absolutely. The THS Now commercial catalog contains specialized heavy-duty hardware designed for industrial plants, commercial boiler rooms, and high-rise structural risers. This includes thick-gauge carbon steel clevis hangers, heavy-forged U-bolts, and high-load anchor bases engineered to easily support massive multi-inch industrial steel mains filled with high-pressure fluids.
